Bet you never thought you would find this here. I love racing and yes, it isn’t very green but some prototypes are going green with either bio-fuels, as in the V10 Aston Martin bio-ethanol and a few others are dabbling with hybrids with one fully electric prototype. You can read our
Electricnick.com blog or catch me at the
Examiner.
The Long Beach Grand Prix is different from most others in that is has many races but doesn’t attract the typical “GP” crowd. The Sports prototype didn’t fail to entertain with Aston Martin leading a pack of V10s with a V12 on such a tough narrow road track as Long Beach. The last driver made a mistake in the last few laps and the Patron Zytech V10 took advantage of that. The other V10 Aston Martin running on bio-ethanol was doing great despite obvious weight disadvantaged.
All in all, an epic race well worth the race and well worth beyond the single seater craze…
