Asking the right questions when you start your business

You will not just hear from me, the number one mistake that stops a business form striving is to not have a clear vision of what that business does.  In other words, the desire alone will simply not be enough, no matter how good the idea is.  So where do you start?  Try these simple questions at first:

What do I want to achieve?  Why does my business exist?  What will success look like?

These are powerful coaching questions that should not only help clarify your business vision, should also open the door for more questions which will further refine your business vision.

The other important part sorely lacking for so many business is to not have a contingency plan.  What happens if things don’t work out?  What other service/products can I offer? Am I listening to my clients?  Am I listening to what is needed out there?  Finally, am I flexible enough to ride the tides of change?
