Group Coaching, what’s your flavor?

As most of you know by now via my newsletter…  You are receiving my newsletter, n’est-ce pas?  If not, shoot me an email at: coaching (at) nickzart (dot) com to be added o the list, or just head on out to TapTheSource.com and go to the Newsletter section.  As I was saying, in my last newsletter, we will be starting a few group coaching pilot groups.

First, a little word about group coaching. Group coaching is a fantastic way to have access to coaching in a safe and nurturing group environment.  It is also an affordable way to get coaching and still use that group synergy to get you to your success.

Group coaching allows for individual personal coaching, meaning you will have as much time as anyone else and will be with like-minded people sharing the same goal.   I could go on forever about the benefits of group coaching but the best way to get a sense for it is to join us.

Here are some ideas to see if you would be interested and I would welcome suggestions to see if we could turn into a group coaching situation:

Career Transition

Healthy Relationships and Personal Boundaries

Combating Addiction

Sales Team Dynamics

Healthy Male Sexuality for a New Century

Personal Happiness

Life Balance

Anything else you would be interested?

The pilot group coach rates will be $75 a month.  When we have 7 to 9 people ready to go, we will start.  After the pilot group has concluded a month or two later, you will be able to continue at a discounted rate to be announced.

Tranquility training Method, Another Binaural Beat Winner

Strong with my binaural beat adventure with the Monroe Institute, I discovered Mark Certo’s Tranquility Training Method.

Mark was Robert Monroe’s sound engineer for decades and decided to start his own venture.  His products are very interesting in the sense that he builds on his experience with the Monroe Institute but adds how own alchemy in the mix.  I particularly enjoyed listening to his Samadhi aimed at keeping lid on the monkey mind.  For those unaware of the term, monkey mind is what happens to almost everyone, that incessant chatter.

Mark takes a shot at one of the fundamental pillar of success, training the mind to be quiet, to observe and be a working tool for who you are.  I can only highly recommend his work in conjunction with the Hemi-Sync products from the Monroe Institute.

Binaural beats and coaching, the perfect tool

Many times coaching is centered on that feeling of being overwhelmed and lack of concentration.  I’m very happy to say that not only coaching is a great solution for that but now you can wake up next morning after your session, put on your executive CD and start working, all focused, fresh and there.

I will be carrying shortly a few CDs from the Monroe Institute, some of which are  perfect matches for our Tap The Source’s clients.  Those with difficulties coping with lack of time for tasks will be happy to put on the Executive CD and find increased concentration.

Those who have a hard time sleeping will be able to listen to a CD and sleep into the arms of Morpheus, the sleep God.

The more I work with these CDs the more I see their intrinsic value in coaching. They are the perfect tools to keep you going in between calls.

Glimpse Of The True Person

Have you ever wonder as you look at people how so many of us hide behind our characters?

I was talking to this expert doctor and was wondering about his composure.  His exterior self was well crafted, presented his expertise, not bonding with the patient and keeping a "healthy" distance.  That one quest I always to take on.  How long does it take for you and I to bond?  How many things must I say to reach you, to make you see the real person in me and see the real person in you?

It usually happens after a while, once you have dragged them out of their professional persona.  It is usually a wonderful moment where the inside human being comes out and there is a bond for a little while.  It is a safe a nurturing moment where someone feels it is OK to come out with their deeper person.  You are offering them a relaxing moment in their busy professional life.

Why is this important?  In this hectic life we live, it is easy to get lost in our professional life, slipping away the moments to intimately getting to know ourselves and being true to our inner person.  I know I always enjoy a person who is out there, themselves in their professional lives.  It shows a certain level of thinking and working on their selves.

The Importance Of Tapping The Source

The more I looked around, the more I was convinced that we need to tap the source of anything we do in order to make the best informed decision and not get caught up in the irrelevant.

Why?  Without getting political or worldly cause, one perfect example is the futile debate on climate change.  Whether the climate change is man-made or an act of nature, one thing has been demonstrated, the climate is… changing.  The latest research have shown this beyond doubt, regardless of its cause.  Yet, it seems many debates disregard the obvious and get bogged down in sterile political rhetoric.

When something is not right, regardless of its cause, we act on it.  In other words, when we tap to the source of the climate change ordeal, it makes little sense whether it is a holy act or a man-made one, we make sure we do not make the situation worse and start curbing down our footprint, lower our pollution emissions, as well as doing the little things we can do now.

The more I have thought about it, the more I am still convinced that tapping the source, or getting to the gist is still the best way to see the relevant picture and making the best overall decision.

From Scarcity To Enough

It can take a long time switching your frame of mind switching from a scarcity point of view to one of abundance.  And the strange part about it, is that it requires two ingredients.

Faith And Willingness.  Come to think about it, rarely does anything without those two ingredients, faith that it will work and willingness to make it work.

For most people, yours truly included, undoing years, of not decades of negative thinking can take time and requires a lot of dedication.  There is no easy way.  You just need to be on top of what happens with your thoughts.

Keeping Tabs.  The first place to start after you have determined you have faith it will work and are determine is to keep tabs on what your thoughts are pumping out.  By simply observing your thoughts, you can easily see when you have a negative one and replace it with two positive one.  Keep at it!

As a rule of thumb, it takes only once to acquire a bad habit, it takes at least seven to a few tries before you replace it with a better one.  So don't despair.  Keep at it!

The Old Man In The Coffee Shop

I was at my favorite coffee shop today when in walked an older gentleman.

He was a friendly fellow.  Said he was an actor and dancer.  He proved it by tap dancing.  He said he was 86 and was wearing a pink shirt with white pants.  He was a friendly one.  He addressed me directly and started talking.  Little did he knew I am also a talker.

We had a friendly discussion about people and being people oriented.  He said a few things that struck me.  He said he cared and was interested in people.  I thought he would have made a terrific coach.  We are interested in people and their well being.  He told me wherever he went, he picked up conversations with anyone and was truly interested in their lives.

What I walked away from with was that it made me even more hopeful about aging.  Sometimes you fear you will be old and debilitated.  This gentleman was anything but.  He gave me hope about one day being 86.  I can still funny and witty.

What is your motivation?

Sometimes I get people who simply don't know what to do.

Sometimes you know you want to change, you feel the urge to do so but don't know what, how, where and when.  So the best place to start is to ask yourself what is your motivation to change?

To most, the desire to change comes from a certain level of discomfort, pain and dissatisfaction.  If left unchecked, these negative feelings can be used as excuses for addictions, whether drugs, alcohol, sex or other.  The problem with that is they only bury the feeling for a little while until the inevitable is faced.  Once sobered up from the excesses, the same feelings are back and most often than not, amplified until dealt with.

Eventually we all have to face the invisible enemy.  That distorted Ego attached to chimeras and fleeting illusions.  Eventually, we come to embrace our true natures and treat the ego as what it is, a tool that needs no killing but to be subdued.

So what does all of this have to do with motivation?  Simply enough, you need to know what your motivation is.  If you have a hard time getting to it, check to see if the desire comes from the ego or it is a nobler one.  The success of any changes is always based on how sturdy the foundation of your motivations are.  The purer, the better.

How To Spot The Ego Taking Over

Most people feel bothered when they don't act in integrity.  That feeling is not a pleasant one and you feel out of balance.  Mostly, it happens when the ego takes over and you lost control.  So what can you do to spot the early signs and place trigger points to remind you to not let it run lose?

There are five obvious aspects of an ego gone wild: anger, hatred, judgment, control and
pride, amongst the biggest ones.  These are the five ways our ego can
manifest when we forget about it and let it lose with unpleasant results.  While we all judge, get angry at times and feel an urge to control, most of these things can be controlled with simple awareness.

Watch yourself more often.  We spend the first five years of our lives controlling our body for better handling of objects and movement but never did the same with our minds.  By being mindful, aware of our moods, we can spot when the ego spins out of control.

The ego isn't a bad thing.  In fact, we need one to function in this society but it needs to be tamed in order to pay well with others while being used as what it should be, a tool to represent the cumulative sum of your experiences.
