You rarely see it and it creeps up on you but the best way to become aware how much the price of life has gone up is to have visitors who come to see you from out of country once or twice a year.

My mom is on town and she found the prices shot up since she was here a year ago. I didn’t realize it though I felt, like everyone that prices had gone up. It especially dawned on me when we spent $90 on miscellaneous groceries yesterday. It’s time to be more aware.

Strange how it used to be so easy to just buy what you wanted without thinking much. Strange to see how things shot up in a year. I guess we’ll just have to materialize more…
