Planning A Bicycle-Friendly Community Meeting On April 2
Long Beach is still trying to make way for bicycles and being someone who bikes a lot, I can vouch for the amount of work to be done. I get scared riding my bikes in Long Beach. Some people have absolutely no concept of the space they occupy with their vehicles. It’s scary to ride next to these folks hung on their cell phones or sometimes simply with personality disorders.
Community members are invited to discuss plans for expanding and improving bicycle facilities and programs in Long Beach at the Planning a Bicycle-Friendly Community meeting, which is scheduled for April 2. Ideas may be included in the citys Bicycle Master Plan, which is part of the Long Beach 2030 Plan. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Minnie Gant Elementary School auditorium, 1854 N.
