Sometimes it’s easy to forget the overall picture or the grander scheme of things.
In this constant faced paced world of ours, it’s easy to forget the essentials and what makes us tick. I spent a wonderful weekend with Virginia fully aware of being happy together and sharing a complicity we built over a decade. I guess watching Pan’s Labyrinth also helped. Such a harsh movie. Seeing how far many of us have come and how much more respectful of life we are.
Watching those science channels on
Miro is also another eye opener. Seeing how so many scientist are working hard on shoe string budgets to figure out our planet and the cosmos really helps put things in perspective. I was watching these rocket scientists talk about far away galaxies they have discovered much through observation. I makes me wonder about our politicians and their hollow sentences filled with hollower promises they know will not be kept. What a waste. Somehow, this too fills a need. I believe it is the need to make people mature and take more control of their lives. It’s heartwarming to see such brilliant minds as these scientists trekking through myriad of data compared to our lip-service politicians. Those politicians almost seem like a waste of time compared to those higher researches.
Seeing all these videos of astronauts in orbit, galaxies in deeper space and the constant discoveries that are rocking our world is a welcome relief from the mind numbing chatter we hear on regular tv. It makes you feel good that there are many people searching for the meaning of life. It makes you feel good how much we have evolved in 70 years. Knowing many of us have rejected the harsh ways of yesteryears embracing a more united and hole approach to life. One day, even politicians and greedy people will succumb to the wonders of the world. That day they will leave their childish games behind and face the future. Soon or later, even dinosaurs pass away.
