What Is A Wholistic Life, Anyway? Long Beach

A wholistic life is one that embraces many things that serve a higher purpose. Instead of spelling it holistic, I spelled it wholistic and give it the idea of wholeness.

Quirky things like that help you define a concept. You always hear about holistic this and that, but what does it really mean? Surely everything is holy is the source of all things, God or whatever you wish to call it is omnipresent, omniscient and omni-powerful. What can it not be? In this day and age of hyped concepts, a la mode cliches, finding a term that resonates with you and means something to others can help you market yourself.

I’ve used the word wholistic healings for many years because so many things make up who you are. You aren’t just one single system. For those of you who practice healing modalities, you most likely have more than one and each has influenced you one way or another.

I have been a Reiki Master Teacher since 2001 and practicing since 1997. I am also a Kofutu healer and instructor level 6 since 2001. I am accustomed to different meditation techniques as well as being attuned to Kriya Yoga. I have worked with visualizations since I can remember. I work with crystals, also. All of these, plus my experiences make my whole being. That’s why I call it wholistic healing when I practice healing or conduct a purification ceremony. Many things come into play depending on the situation.

I still believe you need to stick to a modality, whatever you are doing. For instance, if the situation calls for soothing healing, I will most likely chose to do Reiki. It’s gentle and non-obtrusive. However, if I am dealing with life long problems, drug addictions, sexual traumas and alcoholism, I will use Kofutu. Kofutu works in a different way and asks the question: “Do you really want to heal?” If the answer is yes, than hang on to your socks :)

Life is a whole, healing has to be wholistic. You cannot treat the symptoms. You cannot approach anything from a single point of view. You need to rise as far up as you can and give it a whole view. You need to get to the root of things. If not, they will happen again. That’s why my Coaching practice is called Tap The Source. You need to get to the source of anything. Understanding someone from a wholistic point of view means you are open and take everything into consideration, intuition, psychology, language, body language, visual clues, etc. In this aspect, my Coaching training has taught me how to listen, not judge, wait and be in touch with my intuition. That is wholistic healing and wholistic living.
