It’s been three years since we have asked Charter Communications to stop sending us fliers every week without success. We still receive one weekly telling us how great the company is and what a steal their bundle is. A steal for them, alright. And now, a little bit of bantering…
The problem. Charter is not a good company by any stretch of the imagination. If they can’t oblige a simple request from a potential client to stop annoying them, what would it be if I was a client? We were clients once and after being deceived through introductory rates with final astronomical rates, we left them. I trust that company very little. Do a google search for anything negative on Charter Communication and you will see plenty of results. It rates very poorly.
Mostly however, we don’t have TV. So we don’t need their “cheery” TV bundles. Pay $50 for commercials every 6 to 10 minutes is just ridiculous. Paying close to $90 for telephone, TV and Internet when Europe gets the same with faster Internet for roughly $45 is truly a rip off. And Japan gets even better rates!
I don’t get companies like these. They clearly have no respect for clients and don’t know how to handle prospective ones. I will send a certified letter to Eric Smit, the CEO and ask him to stop pestering us. My mailbox is small and I don’t want to be part of this whole happy-killing tree marketing thing. It’s complete idiocy when I don’t have TV, use my cell phone as my primary phone and have DSL with the other monopoly.
Funny thing is I hear my neighbors are about as ticked off with that company as I am, and they are clients… Sadly, we have no choice in cable. It’s satellite or Charter. Let me know if you would like to send your mail back to them also.
