Electronic Voting machines, Be Scared, Be Real Scared, Long Beach

Discuss on ooVoo

A security flaw found in electronic voting machines was found a few days ago.  Open Voting Foundation examined the one of the most popular paperless touch screen machine used in public elections in the United States and has determined that with the flip of a single switch inside, the machine can behave in a completely different manner compared to the tested and certified version.

With a regular screwdriver you could produce very different results than what the people put it.  With no verified paper trail, there is no way to check if the voter’s choices are accurately reflected in the tabulation.  Scary!

You can check out the Open Voting Foundation for more in-depth coverage.
