And there it is, the conclusion of three years in our apartment and our first place in California. This was our last night.
This apartment was beautiful. And not to sound too full of myself, most people told us what a great job we had done. It’s the friends around that we will miss. We have a special block where pretty much everyone gets along. We would hang out together on our famous "Ledge" and talk. We had many parties. The Sandra and Neal left, now us. This is the kind of place where our door and our dear neighbors Claudia and Jordan’s are open. Can you imagine a whole top floor open. Anyway, time to move on.
I have a five year old girlfriend! Woohoo! And my wife isn’t jealous. I will miss little Aryona. Sometimes you meet a little person that makes you think if you had children that’s whom you would want.
Finally got to see Narnia yesterday. I liked it a lot but found it very predictable and very much last century. Not to put down these heroic stories of good versus evil but you felt it was written in England in the midst of WWII. I guess I am ready for different stories that challenge me. Hum, can you hear me Hollywood. Even the independent movie fad is catching up with Hollywood. I’m starting to see more and more "independent" movies that smell like big Hollywood producers trying to cash in on the pie. Well, there will always be David Lynch.
Last day in our old apartment. It is strange how much you gather and also how big your place really is after you move everything out. We’re almost moved out. We only need a truck on Saturday to take the heavy couch, dining table and chairs, and we’re home free… well almost free…
Since I’m not fully up to date, a bird’s eye view on news. Airport security nightmare, in order to save people in airplanes security folks dump could-be dangerous liquids in lines in one big containers in front of everyone. Now you can exponentially increase your chances of problems while waiting in line with many more people them on an ariplane. Seriously makes you wonder.
Ooops, Microsoft did it again, and again, and again, and again… When it comes to snafus, you just cannot beat Microsoft! In their latest to get a grasp on technology, marketing and reaching out to people, they inadvertently advertised an Apple laptop on their very own website in the security page saying "You’re clean". Just gotta love this company! Even Microsoft says Mac OS X is safer compared to Windows, as numerous technology experts recommend Apple’s systems for its relative safety. Yeah, Windows!
The corrected site now shows a laptop without the Apple logo. Still looks like a Phtoshoped Mac laptop to me! http://www.microsoft.com/security/default.mspx
And lastly, while I’m on the subject. I’ve repaired two Windows laptop for two friends lately and I don’t get it. Seriously, whatever takes Windows 5 clicks, takes Apple 1 or 2. Apple is safer, easier to use and pretty much hassles free. I am glad I switched years ago as I am painfully being made aware when I am forced onto a Windows machine.
It’s a beautiful day, get out there.
