Wiki is short for wiki wiki which means "fast" or "quick" in Hawaiian.  So what? Wikipedia is the uber Utopian Internet tool per excellence.  Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia where visitors can edit its content.  The main articles are written by volunteers that allows most articles to be edited.

What a great idea.  This is truly the closest thing to the original ideal of what the Internet was supposed to be, a place where information was freely available to everyone.  A gigantic online encyclopedia that users can add to, change and if enough people concur, it changes.
